What will happen if you contact me for help?

This usually begins with either a phonecall, email or contact enquiry form from you. If I am unable to take your call, please leave a message and I shall endeavour to get back to you as soon as I can. I would then spend some time asking about you and what has motivated you to contact me for help.

I would then agree with you, a suitable appointment time - please note, I am available Days and Evenings on Weekdays and also have appointments available on Saturday mornings. Following this, I would arrange for you to attend my practice. In some cases, a home visit may be required.

My practice is a quiet, relaxing space with simple decor. There are comfortable, high quality reclining chairs designed for your comfort. At your first session, I will spend more time discussing in more detail about your presenting issues and with your agreement, formulate a treatment plan. A first session can take between 1-2 hours, so ensure you have laid aside enough time to really benefit from the session. I would also ask that you switch off or put to silent your mobile phone.

I would offer an estimate of the amount of sessions required to give you an idea of what is involved.

For example -
Social Phobia - 4-6 sessions,
Smoking (light) - 1-2 sessions, Heavier smoker - 2-3 sessions,
Anxiety, Fears, Phobias - 4-6 sessions
Mild Depression - approx 5 sessions
Weight Control - 2-3 sessions
Mild anxiety, performance related issues - 2-3 sessions

In the first session I would then do some gentle suggestion therapy, tailored to you and your needs. I usually have suitable relaxing music at a low volume playing in the background. On conclusion of this, you will normally have a drink of water and take a few moments to feel fully alert again. By the time you are ready to leave my practice, you should be able to drive and carry on with your normal daily activities.

I will often set some simple to complete, but essential homework - which I feel is vital in continuing the progress of work on the subconscious mind, after the session is over. I will also, if required, arrange the next session with you and offer you an appointment.
